Corona virus action plan

Caring For Our Community

Albemarle Counseling Associates, PLLC  is committed to the safety and well-being of our clients and those who visit our office. During these unprecedented times the ability to adapt to change is important. Prior to 3/17/2020 I was resistant to even considering utilizing TELEHEALTH. On 3/18/2020 mid-day, however, I made the decision to consider the option and at 4PM I did my first TeleCounseling session. I have chosen to partner with SecureVideo which is fully HIPPA compliant and encrypts all data to keep your information secure. It is also integrated with my EMR software. I will be providing this option for current clients as needed. PLEASE, LET ME KNOW IF YOU WISH TO USE THIS OPTION.

The office is open for business and I am taking all cleaning and sanitizing measures necessary to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. I will continue to stay informed of recommended best practices.

I also want to keep clients informed and up to date, so you can click the link below to get Up-To-Date information from THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL – CDC information related to Corona virus

WHAT I AM DOING…
1. Offering TeleHealth counseling as an option for all current active clients. In some instances, I will consider TeleHealth for a new client.
2. I am doing daily cleaning of all surfaces in the office including door knobs and hard surfaces throughout the office. I AM SUSPENDING COFFEE & TEA SERVICE FOR THE TIME BEING. Plan accordingly.
3. Washing hands is critical so, I am washing between clients and providing soap and sanitizer (if available) for your protection. There will also be plenty of disposable paper towels available.
4. I am NOT going to be shaking hands. An elbow bump is safer.
WHAT I ASK OF YOU…
1. Take care of yourself and family.
2. Please, switch your face-to-face session to a TeleHealth session if you or anyone you have been in contact with tests positive or has symptoms.

3. Wash your hands frequently. When you enter and leave the office please wash your hands in the kitchen area
4. Don’t hesitate to use the available wipes in the office to clean any surface for your own peace of mind.
Let’s stay healthy together!
Thank you,
John Penn Turner, LPC/LSATP/NCC
